A lovely, two-story colonial home was already in good condition, but some areas felt outdated or were missing. That’s where we put our attention!
Old flooring and shower surrounds were removed in the primary, kids, and guest bathrooms to make way for new tiles. The composite counters were also replaced with granite, and the fixtures were swapped to give these spaces a fresh feel. In the nursery, we added a slat wall as a focal point and created more depth with paint.
The small, 3-season porch felt old and cold. But, painting the cedar ceiling a bright white and pairing it with an industrial fan and warm LVP flooring with a reclaimed accent wall cozied this space right up! Outside, we built a welcoming outdoor dining area under a large cedar-tone pergola.
Finally, the overgrown and dead landscape was removed and replaced with low-maintenance, seasonal blooming plants and natural river rock to match the newly painted navy exterior – a nice change from the original dull beige. To complete the look, a beautiful fieldstone boulder wall was built to stop erosion onto the driveway.
